INTCD 022 WESSBERG & CARPATO: I AL FORTROLIGHED
Guitaristen Wessberg og mundharpespilleren Carpato er blandt de mest originale musikere i landet. Deres musik har ‘main stream’ jazz som udgangspunkt men bevæger sig langt ud over denne genre. Deres inspirationskilder er folk som Toots Thielemann, Ulrik Neumann og Joe Pass og også klassisk musik.

INTCD 027 KLÜVERS BIG BAND M. CARMEN BRADFORD: COUNT ON IT
The third album from this productive Big Band - a band characterised by its broad repertoire and ability to make modern Jazz music accessible to a wide audience. This time it is a live recording with Carmen Bradford, former singer with The Count Basie Orchestra, as soloist. Good moods and a love of jazz oozes out of this very tight and concentrated performance.

INTCD 029 UFFE STEEN & JENS JEFSEN: COME JOIN US
Bass player Jens Jefsen and guitarist Uffe Steen both come from the elite of Danish musicians, respectively from the Jazz scene and the blues scene. The two styles unite into a kind of modern, melodic, energetic and rhythmic improvisation music.

INTCD 030 NIELS BALLE: OUT OF TIME
This CD is the outcome of a music project led by the keyboard player, Niels Balle, who has also composed all the songs. Each song has a different soloist all of which are well established musicians and singers from the Danish jazz scene. It is modern Nordic jazz with inspiration from Brazilian music, funk and rock.

INTCD 032 NIELS RYDE’S "SO TO SPEAK" BAND
CLEANSHAVE - A brand new band on the Danish Jazz scene formed by the highly acclaimed jazz bass player Niels Ryde. The band plays modern music, all composed by Niels Ryde, combining jazz, latin, funk, rock, African, world music and free- form emphasising melodies, moods and improvisation.

INTCD 035 REAL TIME
This concept album is a Danish-American collaboration debut with the concept of ‘time’. The music of Real Time is modern art-rock/jazz with a Jungle inspired beat and gloom mixed with trip-hop sounds - music that is always cool.

INTCD 037 CHRISTIAN VUUST GROUP: AERO
This CD has been much acclaimed by the Danish press. The five young members of this jazz group play new Nordic jazz of own compositions backed by dynamic percussion. As a review by a Danish paper expressed it, "Radiates the joy of playing and the love of music...enjoy".

INTCD 038 LIFE SAXOPHONE QUARTET: SENSITIVITY
The debut CD from this interesting group with the unusual line-up of four saxophonists. The music is situated in the borderlands between jazz and recent composition music – or Contemporary Music as it is also called.

INTCD 040 KÅRE GADE: FIRST FLIGHT
Debut CD from pianist and songwriter Kåre Gade. Together with the group ‘First Flight’ he has made this CD with music which moves across genres - Pop mixed with Jazz and World Music.

INTCD 041 TORBEN WESTERGAARD: BRAZILIAN HEART
Torben Westergaard’s own compositions - original Danish music with close relations to Brazil. The group members are highly acclaimed musicians from all over the world - USA, Argentina and Brazil but in spite of this distance they have existed as a successful band for over 3 years.

INTCD 042 WESSBERG & CARPATO: DUETTIN’
This guitar and harmonica duo plays with a swinging musicality and a great sense of humour. On this, their second CD as a duo, they have fully declared their love for Jazz music.

INTCD 043 SISTERS: ELK DANCE
This female jazz quartet mixes music traditions from Northern Europe, Japan and Africa with modern sound and rhythm. The band which has existed for 6 years play their own compositions that build upon the improvisational freedom of jazz. They never fail to thrill their audience.

RICD 006 JENS SØNDERGAARD QUARTET FEATURING LEE KONITZ: KONITZ IN DENMARK '89 – Lee Konitz, who has been one of the true masters of improvisation for about forty years, met Jens Søndergaard Quartet on tour in Denmark. Their musical co-operation was so stimulating that they decided to record this CD. Jens Søndergaard, also saxophone, is one of the busiest musicians in Denmark. The rest of the band consists of some of the most competent veteran jazz musicians in Denmark.

RIGHTCD 009 THOMAS BLACKMAN: LOVE BOAT
This Bebop-jazz album is Blackman’s debut as a band leader and composer. It is probably some of the most thoroughly prepared music on the Danish jazz scene for many years. With him he has internationally well known musicians from Sweden, Denmark and from USA the tenor and soprano Bob Rockwell. Thomas Blachman was awarded the Danish Jazz Grammy in 1991.

RIGHTCD 014 JAN LIPPERT HARD COMPANY: WHAT’S NEXT?
Debut album from this instrumental band which plays a crossover between jazz, rock and classical moods using composition techniques from our European classical heritage. Jan Lippert’s expressive guitarplaying and the tight rhythm section is a certain success on the stereo as well as live.

RIGHTCD 015 KLÜVERS BIG BAND PLAYS BUTCH LACY: JASMINE
This jazz big band was formed by a group of music students 21 years ago and is still going strong. On this CD they are joined by Butch Lacy, arranger and pianist for Sarah Vaughan, now based in Denmark. With Butch Lacy the immense possibilities and range of this big band really come out.

RIGHTCD 016 COLORS OF BLUE: WORKSHOP...MIXED FEELINGS
Second album from this experimental and surprising group. Joining the tightness of acoustic music with the vitality of electric music this mainly instrumental group plays rock, blues, Motown, quiet ballads, acid rock, sing along - i.e. "mixed feelings".

RIGHTCD 017 INTERPLAY: MOMENT'S TOGETHER
A Danish jazz-quartet - in the Nordic jazz style. The acoustic songs, well composed by the pianist Niels Nørager, are tuneful, intense and thorough with room for improvisation.

RIGHTCD 018 TAYLOR'S UNIVERSE
The composer and multi-instrumentalist, Robin Taylor, has gathered these Danish musicians, all normally involved in other bands, and created this unusual band. Instrumental music full of surprises - a rock, pop, jazz and avant-garde fusion.

RIGHTCD 019 KLÜVERS BIG BAND, FEATURING FINN ZIEGLER & JESPER THILO: THE HEAT'S ON
Recorded at the Århus International Jazz Festival 1994. Guests, Finn Ziegler on violin and Jesper Thilo on sax, are both very well known jazz musicians and join Klüvers on this, the big band’s second album in 1994, which truly shows the musical range of this band.

RIGHTCD 020 SCANDINAVIAN JAZZ QUARTET: NEW DEAL
A Finnish-Danish quartet formed in Boston ‘92. The style is a mix of American and Scandinavian jazz, mainly own compositions where especially tightness, originality and a personal sound have top priority.

RIGHTCD 021 JENS JEFSEN: HANDSHAKIN'
The bass player Jens Jefsen’s 3rd solo album marks his 25th jubilee as a professional musician. With him on this brilliant jazz CD plays a group of prominent "old" musicians from the Danish jazz and rock scene and also the "special guest", the American vibraphonist and marimba player, Dave Samuels.

RIGHTCD 022 HELLE HANSEN’S JAZZY PRESENT: GIVING IT AWAY
This jazz band was gathered by the singer Helle Hansen a couple of years ago. In spite of Latin inspirations this CD has a very Nordic tone. She has written 11 out of the 13 compositions herself and priority is given to melody and lyrics.

RIGHTCD 023 TORBEN EGERIS: E.T.
Jazz-fusion ranging from tuneful jazz like Steps Ahead and David Sanborn over to soul and blues. A good melody, a special ambience and a good beat are all essential ingredients in the bands’ compositions. Mr. E.T. has succeeded in gathering a very competent team of musicians on this CD.

RIGHTCD 024 MATHCBROTHERS: APE-ART
Jazz music which unites the brain, body and soul. The saxophonist, Jakob Mygind, celebrates his 25th anniversary with this album. As one of the best saxophonists in Denmark he has been involved in various rock and jazz bands but this time it is his own project, playing with his brilliant band with musicians covering a broad spectrum of the musical genre.

RIGHTCD 025 BARTOK AND FRIENDS: EUROPEAN STANDARDS
This brilliant CD is the declaration of love to classical music by a jazz band! It is a treatment of European Classical ‘standards’ written between 1870 and 1945. The timelessness of classical music is put into a modern frame through playing each of the authentic central themes of the works but replacing the longer symphonic arrangements with jazz improvisations played over the central thematic harmonies and melodies.

INTCD 046 PANIC STATION:PANIC STATION
Although mainly inspired by jazz/rock/fusion styles this experienced group is hard to categorise. Their instrumental music touches a wide range of genres while always focusing on the good tune. No matter which sound universe the group is in they always play for the audience and not in spite of them. The group is a tight playing unit and has played at many venues in Denmark and in the eastern part of Europe.

INTCD 047 MARAVILLA: SA KA LA MUSIKA
One of Denmark’s most ambitious world music orchestras. The title of the album means ‘Take the Music Forward’. More than 20 musicians both from Denmark and abroad have been involved in the creation of this album, among others the internationally well known percussionist from Cuba, Calixto Oviedo. Maravilla’s unique songs are written by the Spanish members of the group. It is Spanish style dance music with elements from salsa, flamenco, jazz, pop and rock.

INTCD048 TRIO LAROCKAZZ: UP’S AND DOWN’S
The second album from this Danish band with its unique musical style inspired by Latin American rhythms, blues, rock and gospel. Three guest musicians have joined the trio in the making of this album. All songs are composed and arranged by the band itself.

TRAUMTON 4423 DEGAS & KJÆRSGAARD
This colourful duo is the outcome of a co-operation between the Brazilian bass player and composer, Jorge Degas, and the Danish jazz singer, Vini Kjærsgaard. This CD is the joint release from the duo and was presented very successfully during their recent Brazil tour.

INTCD 051 EAST COAST JAZZBAND: IT MIGHT AS WELL BE SPRING
The best of traditional jazz mixed with evergreens played with an enthusiasm which can get any audience going. The band was formed in 1991 and consists of the some of the most prominent jazz and blues musicians in Denmark all of which have played in many different constellations for the last 30 years.

INTCD 056 SILVANA MALTA: BACK TO BRAZIL
A great vocal talent from Brazil now living in Denmark. This CD is Silvanas debut as a solo artist but previously, in Brazil, she has worked with big names such as Hermeto Pascoal and Toninho Horta. The CD consists of sophisticated melodies and harmonies in a unique world music style.

INTCD 057 UFFE STEEN/JENS JEFSEN: STRING TIME
The guitarist, Uffe Steen and the bass player, Jens Jefsen have played together in various groups for the last 22 years. The two exceptionally talented musicians move from blues to modern jazz on this CD which is their second release as a duo. Their mutual musical understanding and inspiration is clearly heard throughout the 11 songs.

INTCD 058 KLÜVERS BIG BAND: LIVE IN TIVOLI
To celebrate their 20th anniversary the big band release this recording from the Copenhagen Jazz Festival 1996. With them they have the fabulous singer, Deborah Brown, whose voice simply cannot be matched by any other living singer. Brown’s voice gives the big band’s sound a touch of blues.

INTCD 060 RANDERS BIG BAND: BIG BAND TURNÉE
After 18 years of active existence this is the first CD from this Big Band. The title refers to touring the world of both jazz music and of the world itself throughout the years.

Jazz musicians experiment with a wide range of music-styles – Miles Davis in the late 60’ies, funk, soul, fusion and techno. An exciting and groovy mix of samples and loops made ‘alive’ by the contribution of hand-picked musicians.

INTCD 071 NIELS BALLE SOLVEIG HØYE GROUP: LIKE A BIRD
Composer and pianist, Niels Balle and singer, Solveig Høye have together with their band created this CD of modern Nordic Jazz but inspired by Brazilian music and ECM jazz.

INTCD 074 NIELS MATHIASEN: NIGHT AND DAY
This Danish saxophonist usually plays with famous Danish rock bands. However on this solo-CD he gets a chance to play his favourite evergreens. He delights in playing Cole Porter, Burt Bacharach, Antonio Jobim etc. in his own beautiful and melancholic way.

INTCD 077 RETAH BURTON: SEARCHING FOR LOVE   (deleted 2001)
This Danish singer has a voice made for blues and jazz. After many years her wonderful voice is finally available on CD. She sings jazzy blues accompanied by a tough blues band.
